Maths is taught in much the same order almost everywhere, so these lessons work for most courses for 11 to 16-year-olds. Each one aims for understanding first, rules second: a picture or real situation comes before the formal rule.

Every lesson includes worked examples that show every step, a quick check the class can answer together, common mistakes in the speaker notes and a five-question quiz with explanations. The editable PowerPoint lets you swap in your own examples.
