About these lessons
Civics explains how societies make decisions and protect rights. These lessons use real cases from different countries to make ideas such as democracy, power sharing and fundamental rights concrete.
Each lesson sets out clear objectives, explains key terms in plain language and suggests discussion questions in the speaker notes, so the whole class thinks rather than memorises. Lessons about one country say so in the label, for example the exam revision decks on the Constitution of India.
The decks are neutral and non-partisan and written in our own words. Present them in class, print the PDF or adapt the editable PowerPoint.
